When do you have your first scan

Question

Im 3-4 weeks pregnant but ive forgotten when you have to go for your first scan.

Its my 2nd pregnancy .. My sons 2yrs old now this baby is due around the same day as my son

Depends where your from - in the UK the first scan is between 10-14 weeks which is the dating scan - unless you have had previous problems such as misscarriage and ectopic they will do an early scan to make sure baby is in right place

It depends on your doctor, actually. Literally doctors offices 2 mins from eschother where I live, do scans at different times. 
My doctor does first appointment + confirmation ultrasound at 8 weeks.

12 weeks unless you're unsure on dates and then a dating scan around 7 weeks or so.
If you're low risk, the 12 week scan is elective so first scan would be 20 weeks of you chose not to have it

Think it's usually 12. I have been booked in at 6 weeks for a reassurance scan following an eptopic.
