Face rash?!?

My baby is 5 weeks old and has developed this rash on her rash and dry skin that is flaking around and on her ears and eyebrows, any ideas?!? FTM so anything would be helpful!

Our md recommended aquaphor after bath while the skin is still moist. its almost completely gone. (Within 7 days of use)

It's cradle crap,  you have to rub baby oil or coconut oil in hair or a lite coat on eyebrows. Let seat for 15 mins. With a baby brush or comb, start brushing the hair. The flakes will come off. Them wash baby hair to remove the oil. Redo for about a week. Each day. If you don't catch it early it will lead to a rash and sometimes make baby's hair fall out. Happened with my second born, my 3rd born has it too. 😞😔

Please check with your Ped to see if it's a Milk Allergy! My babe looked a lot like this and as soon as we switched to Nutramigen her face cleared up almost instantly. Signs to look for: lots of gas, loose BMs, bloody stool, and loud grunting and straining to go potty. Good luck!

My little girl developed heat rash/baby acne around 3 weeks. Seeing her face this way broke my heart. The pediatrician assured me it would clear up... And even though I didn't believe her, it did eventually (probably around 5 weeks). It just takes time. My daughter now has beautifully smooth skin again, here at 8 weeks. Hang in there!

Yes my daughters ears and eyebrows flaked lol especially behind the ears. I use warm water and a wash clothes and massage the area lightly to help get it off. It works! No soap or lotion.

It looks like your little one has heat rash and cradle cap. I'd put baby oil on those eyebrows before it got worse and more flaky. I would also try not dressing the baby as warm, my daughter is seriously like a little coal and I would be afraid she was cold because her feet were cold (her dr told me that, that isn't always the case) so I'd dress her warmer and roast her. She would end up with the same red rash and if she laid skin to skin it was worse

My baby had this terribly right around the same time. He's now 8 weeks and it's completely gone. Are you breastfeeding? I removed dairy from my diet and it went away. His face is literally clear again. Maybe it was just a coincidence idk just my experience.

My little one had this all over his face, eyebrows and ears also! My doctor advised using Cetaphil twice a day. I used it slightly more at the beginning as it was soo dry in places...but started seeing a difference a day or two after and it was fully gone after a week. I am still using it as with out the dryness and flakiness comes back.

Yep! My baby girl had it on year, her face, behind your ear, I need in her neck rolls, on her eyebrows, and just all over the face. And she was constantly scratching everything so it made it worse.

I started using my nipple cream by Motherlove because I read reviews online from the mother load website that said that they had used it on their babies for the exact same thing and it cleared her bumpy, red skin up in one day.

I don't think you need to put anything on it but I've been using calendula oitment on my son and it helps it not to be so red and peely.
