Do I have to wear a tampon?

I hate em! They are so uncomfortable. And my mother says I'll have to wear them someday and that I better get used to them. But is that true?

You dont have to put anything in your body that you dont want to. I have a few friends who are grown adults who hate them and dont use them. So use your own judgement.

I wear them very rarely... You will never HAVE to. Pads, diva cups, etc are always available to you. You can always just not go swimming while you're in your period!

No you don't HAVE to wear them it's completely up to you! I personally can't wear them because I'm allergic! They gave me TSS (toxic shock syndrome)

You don't have to wear them but if they're uncomfortable when you do wear them you might not be inserting them correctly. You shouldn't be able to feel you have anything in there.
