What is the average clothing size I should get for my baby girl?

She is not born yet, but wondering what size is a good medium to get right now? I want to get her some cute outfits and to be able to get some at the baby shower.

I'm curious people's answers on this as well. I've been told a little bit of newborn and way more 0-3.

We have newborn, 0-3, 3-6, and some 6-9 and above. We have alot of children/baby consignment shops in my town, hes almost completely set on clothes for his first 6 months and weve only spent about 50 bucks :) i cant help but to shop lol. Baby stuff is so cute.

My son is a little over 7 weeks now, around 11 pounds, and can still fit some newborn stuff, but mostly 0-3 months now.

My first son was born 8.8lbs and wore newborn for 2 weeks then went to 0/3 months my second son was born 6.14lbs and wore newborn for 1 month.

0-3 or 3-6 I wouldn't get too much newborn because you never know how big your baby will be , plus a ton of people will probably get you newborn size stuff at the baby shower

My baby is seven weeks just now fitting into 0/3 size. I love the layette newborn gowns bc they can fit into those longer then typical newborn onsies
