How many times a day do you take Vitex?

Ok so I know there are a ton of Vitex threads on here. However, I'm not particularly sure I've seen one saying how often you take it. I've noticed on the bottle it says take 2-3 times a day. I've taken it twice and it's my first day. I used to have super regular cycles, then I got a little depressed, gained about 70 lbs and they gradually became irregular and then nonexistent. So I've went on a diet, get regular exercise and lost a fair amount of weight. I seem to be spotting with what looks like old blood now. So how many do you guys take a day? How long did it take before you noticed any real change?
