I had the Mirena IUD inserted on July 18th. I've been spotting ever since, but I'm pretty sure my period started on the 22nd, and it lasted for longer than usual, but was also lighter than usual. My doctor told me to wait two weeks before having unprotected sex, but I had been reading online that you didn't need to do that so we just went ahead and had sex, same day my period started and maybe 2 other times since (within that two week "unsafe" time frame). I am SO SCARED that I am pregnant now, after talking to my doctor and her confirming that that was a stupid thing to do. My issue is, I'm leaving to go to Vietnam for three month in one week. If I'm pregnant, I probably won't find out until I'm there, right? How early can I test? Is there anyway I can know and get an abortion before leaving the country? I know I'm really stupid and made a bad mistake, but I can't stop freaking out and I don't know what to do. If anyone has any advice I will be forever grateful.
