My birth story.

So my baby boy was due August 1.  They were worried about size and a c section was scheduled for August 2. I have been in "early Labour" since 36 weeks.  So on July 31 I couldn't sleep the cramps were so bad. My dog was acting crazy and we had no clue why. The morning of the 1st we went in for my pre op.  The dr saw me in passing and made a joke that I looked like I was in Labour.  I laughed and said "no sleep and damn false/early Labour for four weeks is too much."   As I was doing pre op the nurse noticed I was uncomfortable and offered to check. I said I was fine and would make it through more false Labour until the following day c section.  The hubby and I finished then went grocery shopping.  A few hours later the cramps were bad so I was on the bouncing ball. We thought "maybe contractions?" But I could talk through them and I didn't know.  So after some discussion I said I would drive myself since I would get sent home anyways and the hubby could clean the house. Well I was in active Labour with contractions 2.5 minutes apart and was 3.5 cm dilated and almost fully effaced.  We decided to try natural Labour starting at 4pm.  Babies heart was dropping a bit with each contraction but was being monitored.  At 845 I took the epidural.  At 11:30ish during a contraction, the heart rate dipped too long and within 5 minutes I was wheeled in for an emergency c section. He was born on August 2 at 12:05am.  8lbs 1oz and 53cm long.
