Afraid to try something with my boyfriend

Okay so me & my boyfriend have been together for 7 months. He's 25 & Im 18 but we've known each other for years... Well we have very different experiences with sex, hes way more experienced than I am especially since I just lost my virginity last year & have only been with one person. We both know we want to have sex but I think he's nervous to just try something and Im way to shy to just come on to him. He loves to kiss on me and I stay the night with him all the time but still nothing.. My friends keep telling me just start it but idk what to do exactly, & I def dont want it to be awkward.. I guess Im kind of waiting for him to go for it but I feel like he doesn't want me to feel pressured into anything so he wants me to try something, idk. Long story short in 2 weeks Ill be moving for college so we wont see eachother as much & I want to before I leave.. What should I do?
