Buying house...?

It generally works out cheaper to build your own house. Plus you get to build what you really want. I would always opt for building a house over buying one if you have the opportunity to do so.

It really depends on your financial situation. You need to be in a pretty good financial situation for building a house to be a good option. But if you have the money and plan on living their for a while, that's probably the most idea situation. If you don't have the means of living somewhere and paying bills while paying for your house to be built, or if you don't plan on staying there long, building a house doesn't make sense. Buying a land and putting a trailer isn't the best investment so that's probably the least desirable situation by quite a bit

My parents live in Montana and in a small town and the houses in town tend to be smaller than what I'm used to seeing (I live in California) a lot of people buy land and get manufactured homes. We went and looked at some and you would never know it wasnt built up. Some are really big and beautiful. With wrap around porches and hardwood floors granite countertops soaker tubs I could go on.   I liked a few. So I wouldn't just cross that off BC its a " trailer"

Honestly it depends on how you are financially and what the market for houses looks like in your area. Like in my area it's better to either build a house or to buy a brand new one compared to an older house.

I would say that buying land and putting a trailer on it takes a lot. Its jus as expensive and so much to it especially if there is no septic and driveway and stuff. But good luck! Id say find you a home thats already established/built.
