When in your cycle can you get pregnant (unprotected sex)

I of course know the answer to this I am just amazed at how many women don't know when you can get get pregnant in your cycle.  So I wanted to create a poll to see how many women know what's what. Please don't share the answer below for those of you who do know but vote and write any comments!

For anyone who doesn't know the answer, the correct answer is around your fertile window. Of course I would not recommend having unprotected sex at any time. Sperm (in the right conditions) can live in the body for 5-7 days. Based on a regular 28 day cycle you ovulate around day 14. Therefore if you have unprotected sex 5-7 days before ovulation there is a chance of pregnancy. An egg is only 'alive' for 24 hours and so it's definitely not a time to have unprotected sex. For irregular periods this is obviously very different and ovulation can happen at random and awkward times. If anyone feels the need to correct me then go for it however I do know my facts. It isn't any time of your cycle as if there's no egg there to fertilise there is no chance of pregnancy. I would also love to point out unprotected sex is not a good idea at all. People get caught out and end up pregnant so please all have safe sex

What if I really don't have knowledge of when my fertile days are? I'm very regular since I take birth control pills, but I really don't know much about how fertile I am or anything.

On your period, there's a very slim chance. On ovulation days (which occurs 12-14 days before your next period), and on your fertile window (which last about five days, occurring a couple of days after your period) is when your chances of being pregnant are at your highest. If you have sex more than six days before ovulation, your chances of being pregnant are slim to none. However, it's not a free pass to have unprotected sex. It only takes one sperm to make a baby.
