Should your SO help pay for your birth control?

Michelle

When I first started dating my boyfriend and we started discussing safe sex he said he'd prefer I'd be on some sort of birth control and I completely agreed. However. His reasoning at the time was because condoms are expensive - and usually the guy's responsibility.

I didn't bring it up then to him because it didn't matter. But birth control pills, shots, implants, etc can get to be VERY expensive.

So should a long term significant other contribute to your birth control options (other than condoms)?
