How soon after delivering your baby will the hospital let you shower??

I will admitt it... I am a neat freak/germaphobe and I NEED to feel and be clean.

Gave birth at 3:30AM, I think I showered at like lunch time. To be honest it didn't even crossed my mind until they asked if they wanted to, just cuz everything is such a blur. And I HATE feeling dirty, sweaty, etc. but it's just like not even relevant once baby is here :) it does feel so so good though ugh!!

I showered as soon as I could - maybe 3 hours after the birth. My husband helped me stand and supported me and helped me soap up since I'd had an epidural and my legs were a little shaky. Such a good feeling to get all that sweat and blood off and get into clean pjs. Best shower ever!!

I didn't have an epidural, and they made my shower about 2 hours after I gave birth. I wasn't thrilled, because I was EXHAUSTED but once I was in the shower, it felt nice.

I had my son about 8pm, with an epidural, I finally got into a room about midnight. Then the nurses came in to go over breastfeeding and policies with my little guy. It was 1am when they finished and I just passed out, I was exhausted! I showered sometime the next morning.

I showered within 3 hours. I had baby, did skin to skin and nurses him while they cleaned up, then pediatrician checked baby over and they moved us to my room. By then I was able to shower.

I had an epidural and they made me wait 12 hours walk. Then I could take a shower. They were just worried about me falling I guess. I had a c-section as well.

They were gunna let me shower 3 hours after I delivered :). I just chose not to because I was EXHAUSTED and wanted to sleep.

I had an epidural both times, so as soon as I felt I was able to stand / walk well enough, I showered. They didn't tell me when and I didn't ask. If I want to shower I'm going to shower lol, and that was as soon as I possibly could! With my first I showered about 3 hours after delivery and with my second she was born at 10pm, I had been up since 2am the night before and by the time we were moved to our room after delivery it was past midnight so I showered as soon as I woke up the next day, around 630am. Again, I didn't ask. Just showered as soon as I was ready to.
