First Pap smear?

Hi everyone! I've been going to the gyno for two years now but since I'm 21 now I got my first pap today. Well it hurt a little bit, nothing like really painful but my provider gave me a panty liner cause I bled a little bit (not period blood) and said its normal to happen. How long will this last for? I had this appointment at 11:30 AM and it is now 11 PM and there's still very very light brown here and there. Obviously it is going away but has this happened to anyone else?
