How and when did you transition baby to crib?

LO has been sleeping in a glider in our room. He's starting to outgrow it and I want to transition him to his crib in his room. How did you do it and when? He will be 3 months on the 15th. He has been sleeping thru the night. He wakes up around 5:30 to 6 and we feed him and then back to bed although he's been fighting that lately so we actually put the glider on and then he falls back to sleep. He's not the best napper during the day so putting him the crib to nap during the day probably won't work... If he cooperates, he naps in the playpen. Any advice is appreciated!! 😀

We did the Rock n Play until 6 weeks. From 6-10 weeks we put her pack n play in the far corner of our room to create some distance. Then at 10 weeks we moved her to her crib in her room. Worked like a dream for us! Honestly, she was ready to be in her crib from 6 weeks, but I was the one who couldn't let her go. Lol.

I moved my baby to her own room in the Rock and play at 3 weeks. She started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. Around 11 or 12 weeks I started putting her in the crib for her naps. She was also having a hard time Napping, but I finally got us into a rhythm. I had her take a little nap laying flat on the couch while I sat with her in her dad's office one day. That's when I knew the crib would work. After a week or so of random crib naps (one or two a day), I put her in the crib for her bedtime. She did wonderfully. After another few days, we've now transitioned to her sleeping in her crib for naps and at night if we're home. Good luck!!

We moved our son into his room in his crib right when he turned 2 months old, he has been sleeping through the night since before he was 2 weeks old. He absolutely loves his crib, he sleeps 10 plus hours in there! I put him to bed awake and turn his music and projector on and he stares at it until he passes out. I of course would not put him in there unless I had a really good baby monitor to check on him a lot!

What I did is every time I needed to use the restroom or transfer the laundry, or empty the dishwasher.... Whatever it was that took a matter of seconds or minutes, ID lay him down in his crib & hit the mobile to make it move so it would keep his attention. Like I seriously put him in there a whole bunch of times throughout the day. Just lay him down, hit the toy, & walk away like nothing happened. That will help baby get used to the crib.

For night time, my baby wakes up once or twice per night. We began putting him to sleep in the crib once per night (I chose when he woke up because he was already drowsy and didn't seem to notice or care where he was). So he spent between 1/3-1/2 the night in the crib & the rest of the time he was in our room.

You said he pretty much sleeps through the night..... Just try laying him in the crib instead of the glider. Put one of your dirty shirts in there so he smells you & call it good. At this age, babies don't care at all where they're sleeping. It's more the mom that has a harder time with it. Honestly I'm having a harder time getting my kid away from being swaddled than where he sleeps (100% in his crib now).
