My miscarriage story!

Still trying to process everything so thought I'd tell my story to try and help. 

At 8 weeks pregnant I started to bleed so went and had a scan to see if everything was OK. The baby was only measuring 6 weeks so told me to come back in 2 weeks time for another scan to see if the baby has grown or if it's not compatible with life. I went back and unfortunately my baby wasn't alive. 

They gave me the drugs to induce miscarriage and 2 days later I passed the pregnancy. Following this the bleeding calmed but the pain increased. I gave it a few days and then visited my gp who gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way. By 11pm that night the pain was unbareable so I phoned my local maternity ward who told me to go straight in. Within a few hours the infection in my womb had spread to my blood and I was diagnosed with sepsis. I went into cardiac arrest and was placed in a coma for 24 hours. I was in hospital for 4 days and am now home and am recovering slowly. 

Physically I'm fine but mentally I'm not coping as I'm having flash backs. My partner is also struggling as he keeps picturing me when I went into cardiac arrest. 

I owe my partner my life as if he hadn't made me phone the maternity ward I wouldn't be here now as the doctors have all said I was seconds away from death.
