Hiccups?!

On Monday I'll be 36 wks pregnant, and my baby gets the hiccups often. Today though, has to be the most yet! This is the fourth time today he's gotten the hiccups. Should I be worried about this? Seems like a lotttt to me. -first time over worried mom lol

Nope, nothing to be worried about. Mine has been getting hiccups daily since around 28 weeks. She gets them 3-5 times a day now and they usually last around 10 minutes.

I asked my high risk doctor about it and he said it helps with lung development because it causes their chest to flex like a deep breath.

My baby girl gets them 4-5 times a day sometimes. I asked two different doctors and both said it is perfectly normal and she will probably get them a lot when she is born too--it's related to their rapid growth and their diaphragm. Make sure you are counting kicks though. If baby isn't moving as much then there is a reason to worry. Otherwise you are good!!
