My story (pregnancy and 'periods')

Some posts I see asking questions of if you still get your period can you be pregnant. I found out in March I was 11 weeks pregnant making my conception date the 24th of December. In January and February I had what I wrongly assumed was my period. Came on the same date and was a very light spotting. I usually have a heavy flow but was obviously quite happy when it was really light. It wasn't enough to use a tampon and so I just wore a pad which I wouldn't need to change for 6 hours or more. It was only in March that I didn't have anything that I started to panic. I tested and obviously it was positive. If you have a period that is slightly off of the usual and you have been having  sex without comdoms then it would definitely be worth taking a test. Don't wrongly assume that just because you're bleeding or spotting there is no chance of pregnancy! If anyone has any questions I'm happy to answer them :)
EDIT: I was on the pill as my form of contraception
