What are pad-cicles?

A friend told me about this the other day for post-pregnancy. Has anyone tried it? How do you make them?

My hospital doesn't provide anything but I just made a whole pack of them. I'm a spray bottle I put witch hazel and rose water (3:1 ratio) with some lavender and Frankincense essential oil. I sprayed my pads (not too much or they'll lose their absorption abilities, why I spray and not dunk them in a solution) and  with clean hands spread a thin layer of aloe vera down the centre of the pad. I rewrap it up and put it in the freezer.

Most women saturate a regular period pad with witch hazel and aloe, then freeze them. I didn't make them, the hospital sent me home with snap cold packs and they worked great. I only needed them for two days, my swelling went down super fast.

I haven't tried to make them but the hospital gives these huge pads that when you crack them (like a glow stick) they turn freezing cold and they are heavenly.

I used tucks hemorrhoid pads on top of a pad, plus the water bottle while you pee! It was great! I ordered my ice pack style pads from online too. They are AMAZING!
