Did my water just break?

Question

UPDATE: Dr said not to go in unless it kept trickling or if my stomach got hard with the back pains I've been having. 
It's been 5 hours and neither have happened, still keeping a close watch for the first 48 hours tho, making sure the baby is moving okay and making sure I don't trickle or contract! 
Wish me luck! Due sept 30th hoping to make it to at least August 30th!

Here are the details. 
I peed light yellow before I hopped in the shower 
After I got out of the shower I itched really bad down there so I grabbed a piece of toilet paper to wipe and relieve the itch. 
One leg on the toilet and one on the floor and bam! water just poured out of me (about half a cup) 
I couldn't stop it from coming out.
It was clear and I couldn't smell anything. 
My husband smelled it and said it smelt like pee. (He always tries to calm me down tho)
Anyway I was wondering if there was a way to test this to see if it's really pee, someone said use a pad and do a couple of kegels or lay down for an hour and then stand up and if I leak then my water broke
I've had mild back pain twice in the last hour from standing but other than that no other symptoms of early labor. 
Am I just overthinking all this?
... I just pee'd myself didn't I ...

It can't hurt to get checked. It CAN hurt to wait, due to infection risk to both you and baby.

Nope, your water just broke. Don't waste time on google, you could lose your baby if you wait too long.

When I thought my water broke my dr said to put on a pad and sit down, then give it an hour and see if the pad is filling up.

From your description I would guess your water broke. Just take it easy and drink lots of water and if the contractions don't start today then I'd go to the hospital tomorrow and have them check. Or you can call your doctor, they have a test they can do to see if your water broke. It's not super reliable though. Good luck!

Definitely sounds like your water broke.  Do NOT wait for contractions.  Call L&D and go straight to the hospital now.  Didn't see how far along you are but if you're before 37 weeks they may want to start you on antibiotics.  Also you are on the clock to delivery because of the very real risk of infection to your baby.  Congrats!

Sound like water broke. But did your mucus plug fall out? That has to happen first before water breaks

Did it happen when you lifted your leg? Cuz the baby could have shifted on your bladder and you peed. I know I'll stand up from peeing and piss myself 😂 I really hope it's not your water. They have a test they can do at the ER to check. But you could put a pad on do a few squats cough while squating and rest for an hour to see if the pad fills up b4 going to the ER.

Sounds like it. My water broke this morning at 32 weeks 5 days.  I woke up wet at 2:30am, started having light contractions and got to the hospital at 3:30am, and my princess was born at 6:12am.

It sounds like your water broke. However if you aren't having contractions yet, I'd just call the doctor and see what they want you to do.
