How Shady is this? ??

Sasha

Ok so I know this story doesn't belong here, but idk where else to put it and I need to vent and get opinions on what I should do. I might be a little lengthy but bear with me, bc if you're anything like me, you'll be pissed as hell for me going through this bullshit.

So I'm a cna. I work for this staffing agency that employs nurses, cnas and home care aides. We staff nursing homes when staff is needed bc they don't have enough of their own to cover shifts. I am considered per diem . I make my own schedule, pick up shifts where ever and whenever I want when they are needed. Nursing homes send a needs list to my agency and we pick and choose as little or any many shifts as we want. I am not obligated to work any amount of shifts in a period of time. If I want to take two months off bc of whatever reason, I can and I can pick back up whenever I want.

HERE COMES THE FUCKED UP PART.

I have not worked since the beginning of july. I have had migraines, I have been looking for another job bc being a cna is too hard right now. Well I emailed my employer and asked if she could write me a statement saying when the last time I worked was and that I hasn't worked any hours since. And also asked for her to send it to the place I needed it to go. Simple right? NOPE. Bc she wrote back that on july 15th, I was terminated for a no call no show and that I had called out 30 days prior to that and had other call outs and that I wasn't reliable so they terminated me.

FIRST OF ALL BITCH.....when the hell were you going to tell me? Second of all, is that what I asked you to send????

On July 14th, I supposedly had a shift at this nursing home that I had scheduled weeks in advance. Mine you, that in June I was only working one day a week bc I was sick and in pain alot. So they say I took this shift and just didn't show up. I explained I didn't have any knowledge of that shift and I apologized and told her I did not just not show up on purpose and that I would never do that. And she told me today after me asking her why didn't anyone tell me I was fired, I had no idea, she says : "you did a no call no show and instead of owning up to it you said 'I MADE A MISTAKE' You didn't apologize, no drs note, no nothing." This is VERBATIM. This is what she said to me. I explained to her I did apologize and that I didn't not mean to miss that shift. My pregnancy has me forgetting what day it is and I'm very scatterbrained. They know I'm pregnant. I'm just so pissed off. She attacked me and made me feel so fucking stupid. Telling in all caps. how is that professional. I realize it was my fault for missing that shift. I get that, I should have written it down. I should have taken more responsibility. And I said that to her and she just chose to ignore me. NO THAT'S FINE!! so now I'm fucked and my daughters insurance will close on the 31st bc she couldn't just write that letter. What can I do? Can I get her in trouble?

I would also like to point out that on july 29th, before her asking me about what happened when I missed my shift, I had emailed her and asked her if there were any assisted living facilties in my area, she responded with, yes, (so and so facility) in a town near me. I asked her if they had any needs and she said not at the moment, usually on weekends. Wouldn't that have been the perfect opportunity to tell me that I was terminated so even if there were facilties near me I wasn't able to work bc I'm no longer employed there? I mean, she did state that I was terminated on July 15th right? Idk just find it very rude to do and unprofessional.
