So I'm over producing milk and my LO has been fussy towards my nipples.  She is 8 days old and when my milk came in (day 2) I started pumping and stashing to help with the engorgement. I used the Kiinde twist system and my LO liked the nipples on that more than mine, which has led to her fighting my nipples when I try to breast feed her. The birth assistant came to my apartment yesterday and said that I should back off pumping for a while to reestablish the proper milk amount for baby, and to get her to accept my nipple.  My concern is my milk supply and the fact that my DD is getting enough to eat and the right nutrients. Basically I was told I had to make a decision one way or the other on if she would feed with or without a bottle.  Has anyone heard of this before or have experience?
