How dangerous is not taking your prenatals?

I've have the worst morning sickness ever seriously the worst I thought I had it bad with my first but I was so wrong! I have to get an IV twice a week cause I can't even keep water down... So needless to say I cannot keep my prenatals down I've tried gummies tablets and pills and I throw them up instantly :( how dangerous is it for my baby?

I honestly don't take them. My mom didn't, and my sister and I are just fine. For tens of thousands of years women and babies have done just fine without them and have had healthy pregnancies and women in other countries have perfectly healthy pregnancies without taking them. Why is it that all of the sudden we need these vitamins we can easily take in on a diet. Vitamins are not like vaccines. They aren't THAT important as long as you are healthy and take in a healthy amount with diet and sun exposure for vitamin D

I've had three babies and never once wasted my money, I ate more vegies for folic acid and more meat for iron and never had any issues, I also ate a lot of junk food because the baby doesn't literally eat what you do.if there's something u can eat then just eat it, u may need medication If ur that sick tho

Just take folic acid and eat a balanced diet. Your baby will absorb any and all nutrients it needs from you.

The fact that you can't keep anything down is a much bigger issue.
Prenatals are there to cover any gaps in your nutrition but studies show that most healthy adults in well off countries can very easily consume everything baby needs.

I went most of my pregnancy without them because they were all making me so sick and I tried so many. Even the gummies. Prescription too. But my son was so healthy and he's still perfect at 20 months.

I don't take them everyday ,only reason why is because they make me feel sick and Doctor said its ok as long as I eat a lot of vegetables and green stuff I'm good the good thing about that is that I only crave salads and I drink plenty of milk but when I don't eat a salad or drink milk I force my self to take one even if it makes me sick .

Prenatals are what made me sick all the time. I tried different brands and they all made me sick. Baby is perfectly healthy at 35 weeks. I haven't changed my eating habits or anything.

If you have any type of deficiency, they're very important. Baby won't be able to get that nutrients from you and they'll be sucking all of yours away.
