Ok for baby so sleep in bassinet part of pack 'n play when I bring him home?

I didn't want to get a bassinet since we won't use it for very long, but we are getting a pack 'n play. Is it safe for baby to sleep in this when we take him home?

Answer

Most of the new pack n plays come with a bassinet attachment as well. I think they are rated up to around 15 pounds. You just take it off when baby outgrows it and then baby sleeps in the bottom. Either way is safe. The bassinet just makes it easier on you because you don't have to reach so far down. 😉

That's what I plan to use for the first 2-3 weeks and when she's bigger she can just sleep in the pack and play like a crib until I'm ready to move her into her own room
