Haven't been to a doctor since my 20 week scan :(
So I had my anatomy scan at 20 weeks and that seemed to go alright, except that the tech had a lot of trouble seeing all of his heart. She did get it though. I asked if everything looked good and she seemed to think so, though wouldn't say anything definite. She did say that he appeared further along than expected. I thought I'd receive a letter or something confirming everything was okay since I didn't have another doctors appointment scheduled but I didn't. Soon after, I unfortunately lost insurance coverage under that doctor and couldn't go back. Having no insurance, it took several weeks to get back on track. In that time I went to urgent care twice for belly pain but they couldn't check the baby, they just checked me and said my best bet was the ER. Decided to stay clear of there since it wasn't really an emergency. Well, finally I got covered and signed on with another doctor and after another 2 weeks of issues, finally I have a doctors appointment. But these people don't have my baby's ultrasound pictures and don't know when they'll receive them. I'm 30 weeks now and will be 31 before I get in to a doctor.
So my questions are: can the new doctor go over these ultrasound pics? Had there been anything wrong, would the other doctors have called or something? Is there any chance they'll look at the new place, or is it too late to check the important parts?
Was someone even supposed to go over the ultrasound or was it "no news is good news"? No one ever told me and I lost insurance before I could find out. I'm so nervous and frustrated with this run around, with myself for not having this done a long time ago and the fact that no where seems to be able to check the baby unless I go to the ER. What do you guys think? I'm not sure what to say or ask for. I just want to know that he's okay.
