Question

So I just ended my period like about 2 days ago and today I noticed that my vagina has this weird smell like as if I've been sweating all day and never took a shower . So I showered and the smell is still there not as strong but it's there. I'm 15 and I haven't had sex with anyone. Does it have something to do with my PH balence? What can I do to fix it ? And not to sound dumb but what is it exactly? I'm so confused ??

A PH imbalance is actually right on track. First of all, this is normal so don't worry. Through-out the month as hormones change its not uncommon to notice differences in smells and discharge. Its not uncommon for this type of thing to be noticed after your period. ALOT happens over those few 'joyous' days. Lol. It's smart to always be aware of what's going on 'down there' and what's normal for your own body.

This may be as simple as a ph imbalance, or it might be a very mild infection. I'd recommend spending the next maybe two days only using mild soap that's fragrance free. Also eating foods such as yogurt can help restore any Bacterial issues / ph imbalance you might be experiencing.

Sometimes these things take care of themselves in a short period of time, and sometimes they don't. It's also important to know that this isn't caused by you not showering or taking care of yourself , sometimes it's just something that happens.

So if the don't notice an improvement in a few days or if the smell gets worse / is accompanied by itching , then maybe go to your doc. They might give you an antibiotic to help out a bit.  You should be just fine :)
