When are you supposed to start BC pills?

Don't you have to wait until your period starts that month to start the pills? Or is that not right

I took my the day I got the prescription. My periods are not regular so the dr said it was fine to start the pills immediately.

Depends on the brand. When you get the prescription, it'll say in the instructions if you have to wait till your period or if you can start whenever. ☺ If it doesn't, usually the pharmacist will know.

You should wait until the sunday following the start of your period some people start it the first day of your period you can take it whenever really but it will mess your cycle up if you just randomly take it in the middle of your cycle
