So like is it bad if you're 16 and you're boyfriend is 18 ? But I've known him since he was 16 and I was 14

Because you're underage some people will make a bigger deal out of it. Once you're 18, a two year difference won't mean anything. As long as your parents are okay with it then I say it's fine. Now if he was 26 and you were 16, that's pedophilia. So it just depends.

Most states have laws where it's legal for someone 18+ to date a minor as long as they're no more than 2 years younger (18 and 16 or 19 and 17) so in the law's eyes, it's most likely not a statutory rape issue. Two years is not a big age difference but you can be in different places in life that could cause problems. But if you two are happy then go for it
