Fetal movement myth

I really alarmed to see Drs telling ladies baby move less near the end. They absolutely do not from 32 weeks baby should move the same amount right up to and including labour. Movements may feel different so it may not be huge kicks but you will feel bum movements or legs stretching. If you haven't felt baby move in its normal pattern for you get checked. Do not post on here it could be too late. Do not use a Doppler. A heartbeat doesn't indicate baby is well. I've seen so many women post no movements for 12 hours or they have went to sleep with no movement. Much safer to be checked.
To add placenta position is as individual as your baby movement. This does not change what you personally feel as normal. If it differs late in pregnancy and movement is reduced it needs checked

I agree with your post ... they're not supposed to move less it is supposed to be the same amount you're still supposed to do the kick counts the movement may change but they're still supposed to move I'm 37 weeks today that's why I just want him out because I'm too scared to get too close to the end and something bad just happen

Some women do feel less movement towards the end because of placenta location and how smushed up the baby gets. I still get a few strong movements a day, but not as many as I got back in the 20s weeks. I'm 35 weeks now, my midwife says everything is going perfectly well, and that I most likely am feeling less movement because I have an anterior placenta, he has fully engaged, and he is rotated to face my back so I don't feel his little hands anymore. You should always be aware of what is normal and talk to your care provider about what may feel out of the norm for you and your baby, but some women do end up feeling less movements towards the end and to say they don't isn't right and may unnecessarily scare some people who's babies are positioned in a certain way and is normal for them. When I went to the hospital for fetal monitoring because I was worried about not feeling a lot they said he was moving tons, I just could not feel it, I only feel big movements myself.

My advice is direct from hospital and still birth organisations. Best to be checked than not. It's not intended to scare but it is intended on making people ring maternity rather than going to sleep or asking on here.

Baby #3 for us...and in my experience, they do quiet down a day or 2 before their arrival... It's like they've gotta save up all their energy for their big day😁 Lol. It's hard work being born!
