Ultrasound redo? $$

Question

So I thought everything was fine after the US. But after my appointment with the OB today she said they didn't end up getting a few of the shots they wanted of the brain so she was sending in a referral for another US. My question is, do I have to pay for this again? My insurance is horrible and we pay for soo much already, i just paid well over $350 for my first US and this one was like $500 so I'm freaking out about having to do it AGAIN.

I would definely be looking into it $500 is the equivalent to the babies car seat and stroller. Nobody has that to be dishing out while maintaining a household and getting ready for a baby because the ultrasound tech didn't do her job correctly

Call the office and speak to the billing office and file a complaint. They'll end up telling you that they won't bill you.

How are you paying so much? We are paying out of pocket and we still pay less than you. I would look at other insurance groups.

I'd call your insurance and ask them ahead of time. Sometimes if the doctor codes it as medically necessary it will be completely covered but again it depends on your insurance. For me I didn't have to pay for the anatomy US itself but was charged about 200 for the radiologist to read it.

Personally, if you've had no other indications that anything is wrong, I'd refuse the redo. No ultrasounds are required, it's all optional diagnostic testing.
