Question to all the ladies

I'm only a few days post ovulation but I have been having a few cramps here and there the past couple of days, and started to feel a little moody, tender breasts, AF not due until 26-27th of April. Am I getting too excited? Or could it be just ovulation cramps? This is our first month TTC, when would be a good time to test? Thanks all for your answers if greatly appreciate it!
