Will I be ok not buying a snuza/baby oxygen monitor?

Question

This is my first baby and I don't have the means right now of buying a breathing baby monitor. Will my baby be ok? Could I do without one? I really wanted one but can't shell out the money for it right now which makes me sad. Just want my baby to be safe.

Lol that seems like a huge waste of money. Unless your baby has breathing problems to begin with then you definitely don't need one.

I bought a Snuza because i was paranoid before my baby was born, and I will say the first week there was a lot of me checking his breathing at night - even now i will check him - but only one time did i actually use the Snuza. Maybe when hes in his own room i will but i doubt it, as of now I dont use it at all and think it was a waste. If your baby is sleeping safely (we bought a chicco playard for our bedroom because theyre mesh all around and this made me feel like he was fine), you will probably not feel like you need it and it might make you more paranoid to have it!

I'm 32 next month and pregnant with my 4th daughter and have NEVER heard of this being a necessity... My cousin had a baby that died of SIDS and when she got pregnant again Doctor advised a breathing monitor

Your baby will be okay. :) 
I didn't have one with my first born so I kept him in a rock n play next to my bed (and I had a nightlight on) to check on him every few minutes. It was mostly for my comfort lol.

Just make sure to follow the usual safety measures and baby will be fine. :)
