Those mommies who have had a D&C

My period used to be exactly on time at the beginning of each month. June 6th was the start of my last period and at 9 weeks pregnant I had to have a D&C. It's been 1 week 2 days since the D&C and I'm still bleeding and passing small sized clots. Could this be my period just happens to come during the recovery of the D&C?
