I want to dye my hair blonde but 
I think just highlights
Any tips or suggestions

My hair is like a brownish black 
It would be my first time dying my hair as well so im on the fence bout it

As this is your first time go with the highlights that way you. Have some idea as to how you look with blonde and you can decide next time you dye your hair if you are ready to gully commit to going blonde

The process of getting to blonde from dark brown is extremely damaging and o ce you get there you still have touch ups to look forward to, highlights would be an easier way to test it before you commit

My hair's ombré and I love it :) (I wanted it more light than dark so I did it higher up) but I have had it all bleach blonde before and loved it too, but it ruined my hair 🙈

I would do a mix of light brown, honey, blonde, and red highlights 😍 they would blend in together so perfectly. I don't think it would look the best if you did just blonde on top of that dark of brown. If you do one color, go with light brown and work your way to blonde
