Would you be offended if a friend gave you as a baby shower gift, used dirty clothes with stains from her kids?

To me, a shower isn't a time to give hand me downs. Any other random time is fine, I'll even take stained lol but opening them as a present seems odd.

I personally like hand me downs. Sometimes they are really unique. About them being dirty, it depends on the friend
Best friend: "girl what the heck? You could have washed them you little nasty" (then we would laugh together)

Regular friend: "oh thanks"

Dirty as in not washed at all, or just well worn and some stains?
Sometimes that's all you can afford. I have a few hand me downs with stains and it doesn't really bother me. I've washed everything recently anyway!

To be exact, I didn't have a baby shower because there is too much going on in our life's right now and my husband is working 6-8 and I'm home with my two other toddlers. So we didn't throw a shower. But one of my friends from a mom/church group (she's not poor by any mean, she's a nurse and her husband is a fireman). Called and said she wants to come over to my house and drop some "presents for the baby". I mean that's nice but I never expected anything from her or anyone else since we didn't have a shower and we already bought everything we needed for the baby. So she came over which was nice bringing me really random stuff. She brought me the rest of the food her and her family didn't want to eat like instant ramen noodles, rest of grits in a zip bag, a pack of instant oats from a bag of 15 lol. Some cheap ketchup, a bottle of water, rest of coffee in a huge box that was open and used. Some apple juice... I didn't k ow what to say 😐 I told her thank you. But seriously giving me your scraps? I rather you just bring me apples. Or bake something. I truly didn't understand why she thought it's a good idea. Then passing on she gave me a baby bag that was used (nothin wrong with used gift bags I keep them myself and fold them) but this one has some disgusting whatever it is... Food, poop stick to it and all beat up. Inside were 3 diapers?? (Random) then a single wrinkled baby hat, a onesie with poop stains, and a bib with food stains. With a old wash clothe that looks like it belonged to my grandmother to do dishes. I understand that some people don't have much money to spend on a gift. We don't have much money, but I still managed to buy my friend for her shower brand new onesies and new bibs from buy buy baby on discounts and using coupons. The clothes she gave me are so stained and dirty even once upon a child wouldn't take it. I rather her being me baked goodies or muffins than dirty stained used clothes and her kitchen scraps.

Yup, I was given a bag of used and stained clothes...i don't mind used (90% of my wardrobe is secondhand) but the stains? No, not acceptable

My friend gave me a bunch of her baby's clothes,  but they were washed and not a single stain on them so I didn't mind.  Just throw them away if they're in really bad condition, maybe she didn't have money to buy a gift.

If she wants to give you hand me downs that's great, but that's not the appropriate occasion!  If it's that money is tight for her she could have just got a cute baby blanket or something inexpensive.
