I've cheated and I still don't think it's ok. I will never think it's ok.

There are some people who have mutually agreed upon open relationships. I knew a couple that has this arrangement. He was in the navy and at sea for long periods. When apart, they could - using precautions - have sex with others. When they were back together, they were only with each other.

There are also openly polyamorous relationships. The key is consent. If people commit to a monogamous relationship, and then go outside of the relationship's agreed-upon boundaries, this is a betrayal of trust.

It is one of the most hurtful things to do to someone.
I have lost a child, and I lost my only sibling, my sister, and the pain I felt losing them was as painful as being cheated on! 
It's complete loss and a violation, and it hurts. I went through an extremely painful grieving process as well!! 
I did know right away too. Just knew. Felt that coldness in my stomach and heart like a six sense right after it happened.

People cheat because they are unhappy in their relationship in some way. And instead of talking out their problems or leaving they cheat. If you're willing to cheat then obviously you dont care enough about that person.  Even though there are reasons people cheat doesn't make it ok.

Unless you are in an open relationship cheating is never ok. I would much rather my husband tell me he's not happy and we separate then him cheat and me find out about it later.
