Brown discharge??

So sometimes before my period and always after my period I get brown discharge kind of and it smells weird. I had my period a more than a week ago. My period isn't due for another week or two also. I went to the restroom and saw brown and smelled it sorry if that's weird lol but it smelled the same as when I finish my period it wasn't too much but still. Just a little more info my boyfriend did cum in me the day of ovulation idk of that affected me. I didn't take the pill or anything.
