Risking staying at a 4 Star hotel?😖

Question

My boyfriend and I are planning holidays for the rest of the year, Maldives, Japan and also a close-to-home holiday, in Italy. Meaning it isn't a super long flight like our other two destinations.

In Maldives we are staying at a Per Aquum resort with a gorgeous villa, in Japan we down scaled and opted for the Aman hotel's suites, to really appreciate the cityscape of Tokyo.

Issue now is - I found a great hotel, Hotel Eight in Portofino. It's 4 stars, but looks really decent, especially if it's just for a short simple holiday for less than a week.

Should I risk it? Has anyone stayed here? Does dropping one star make a huge difference? I've heard horror stories from friends about European 3-star hotels, so I'm just a bit cautious.

If anyone has been here - please share your experience!

Poor you staying at a 4 start resort😪 suck it up it should be just fine. It's a resort it'll be nice either way, and I'm sure you won't even be there much besides going to bed. Be greatful, good lord I'm busting my ass having one day off a week and I still can't even go on a vacation anywhere.

So regarding your bathbomb post I'd just like to share that I called the lush store in London where it says you went on the receipt because the fact that there were Christmas items on that receipt was fishy, as well as other woman commenting that same thing on your post...so when I called they said they haven't sold those items in months. YOU'RE A DAMN LIAR C!! I will now be emailing glow about you and asking for your account to be removed. Hopefully that does the trick of ridding the community of your BS. 😊
