when can I go on a real date? leave the baby with someone?

My hubby and I really want to go and do a night out for dinner in wine country, I don't know at what age it would be reasonable to leave my LO with someone. 
She is only 2wks right now.

That's not for any of us to decide. It's up to you and what you feel is appropriate or works for your family. I know your just asking for opinions, but you will see plenty of people that will think your nuts to want to leave her already, and others that have done so earlier than 2 weeks. Its really just something you have to decide for yourself

I personally didn't leave my son with grandma until about 3 months.  Only because babies need a lot of attention and care and my MIL was always busy with house work or ranching work.  He did stay over at her house in July for my birthday and he did great-this was at 5 months. I wanted to wait until he slept through the night for us to leave him at night with someone so they don't have to get up at night. However; this is your baby and no one can tell you what's right and wrong. I just felt it was easier on everyone by the way I went.

You can go whenever you feel comfortable!

I think my boy was about 3 weeks when he was first watched for an hour and about 6 weeks when he stayed out over night.

If you want a night out have one. There's no need to feel guilty or any of that rubbish.

Being a mum is hard work so take any opportunity to reward yourself!

Whenever you're ready! It's totally up to you. Some people go out right away, some don't until their kids are a couple years old. Personal preference.
