Dad not really interested in the pregnancy?

Question

This is our second pregnancy, but my husband seems much less into it this time around. He never asks about my appointments, he only came to the two ultrasounds (last time he came to about half the appointments), he is totally unsympathetic to my symptoms (his response to everything is "drink more water"), and the only time he has felt the baby is when I physically take his hand and make him. Anyone else experiencing this?

This is my first but his second- so every time I have pain or whatever  he'll say "yup that's a part of pregnancy." It sucks cause I know he's comparing mine to hers and were nothing alike. So big shout out to the mommas who are enjoying this pregnancy on their own!!! It'll all be worth it :)

I kinda feel the same I mean I know hes excited but it's not like I would have expected. He has only came to three appointments and bitched at the 20 week one because It was taking a long time, and his daughter was being a brat (wonder were she gets it lol), this is my first his second also. But there are things he is getting excited about, like how close our due date is and we are having a Co ed shower that is in three weeks so that's exciting :)

Right there with you. This is our 2nd also and mine is definitely less interested this time around. I've just gave up trying to get him more involved.

Yea, but it's my x husband, and he told me he didn't care and wasn't interested, so I don't bother... though he has attended most appts...

My husband has been to ZERO appointments. He has not felt the baby.

However: to be fair.... He works till five and really couldn't take time off.

Same here I'm 29 weeks with our first. He seems less than interested. Has only felt him move once and doesn't come to appointments only the ultrasounds.  I've tried to get him to talk to the baby but he says its strange and awkward. I wish he would at least act more involved. It really hurts my feelings.

Yep my hubby is the same way... He's so scared we are going to lose this baby also so I feel he doesn't want to get attached to him. We lost our first and he was always touching me. Now it's only when I make him. 😔

My SO goes to every appointment, but doesn't seem all too interested in anything else. If I'm moody/emotional he tries to help, but he gives up. I'm trying to plan my baby shower and he doesn't care for it. He tries to feel the baby move, but he gets fustrated and stops trying after like 2 minutes. 
I don't know, I just feel "tired" in our relationship, like yea we're together, but it feels like something is gone or isn't there anymore. I just think the baby is something were trying to adjust to and the thought of us having a kid. We cope in our own ways, so your SO may be trying to realize and process that you're having another child. I'm not upset with my SO because I understand why he's been a bit distant, but even then my feelings are hurt.
