Getting nails done first time tomorrow which is better gel or acrylic?

I don't have much experience so I wouldn't know what's better they all look so pretty gel acrylic or shellac? However you spell it opinions would be great thanks :)

Personally I'd rather do gels, acrylic nails are pretty but if you aren't going to keep them on and maintain you end up doing damage to your real nail for 2-3 weeks of pretty. Gels can do damage too if you sit and peel them off, but if you soak them off ( like you're supposed to) they won't damage your natural nail at all. Everyone is different with gels, depending on how naturally oily you are the gel manicure will last up to about 3 weeks.

Shellac is nest. Gel is good. Acrylic is bad. For me personally. Shellac doesn't run our nails and is just nail Polish of sorts on top of tor natural nail. Gel is softer ive found then acrylic. Acrylic actually made my nails hurt.

Gel is better. That acrylic damaged my nails and they were so short and in pain. Gel slips right off and leave nails smooth and long after you remove em.
