Baby shower today.. Not all that excited ?!

So today is my baby shower I'm from GA it's currently 7:30 in the morning I didn't get a wink of sleep last night due to body aches tossing and turning etc. My theme is a pastel pink and gray chevron with owls, my cousin who is throwing the shower bought hot pink table clothes? Why is this worrying me so bad and the fact it's supposed to rain today?! I've had over 50 people RSVP and we only have the rental space for 3 hours?? I'm a nervous wreck I had to cancel my make up appointment also due to having to help set up my own shower, can't say I'm all that happy with what's about to happen today, I feel bad but then again I don't because it's what I want right? Or is that being selfish? I'm just ready to see friends and family I'm not excited about receiving gifts I just want to hangout. You know the show bridezilla well I feel like that but for a baby shower😞

My shower is today as well and I have practically no one coming. My friend who was supposed to be in charge didn't get the invitations mailed out or get anything done, she literally waited until 6 DAYS before the shower to even start planning. So I'm essentially having 6 people over to my house to just sit here. I will gladly trade with you lol.

Be happy that you're getting a shower with over 50 people who have RSVPs. Table clothes and a make up appt aren't something to be stressing over. Baby showers are a gift, not an expectation.

I opted not to have a baby shower much to the disappointment of my sister, husband and other family. They kept insisting I would have one, but I said in order to have a baby shower pretty sure you need a pregnant woman in attendance. I didn't want the headache or hassle of a party when I'm at my most uncomfortable. Not to mention I live in Texas and it's been hotter than Satan's ass crack here so nope! Not having one. 😁

My baby shower is today. I bought a $13 cake a table cloth, sign that says baby, plates and napkins. I'm making meatballs, small club sandwiches, fruit, veggie, and cheese trays and will have chips and dip.  I may have 10 people in attendance. Im resting now. I'll brush my hair and maybe put on make up an hour b4 the shower starts and when I say make up, I mean eye liner and mascara 😂 I'm pretty lame. I did buy a new dress on clearance for $9 from Walmart to wear though.

I'm setting up my own shower today as well. No one is helping me at all. Try to enjoy your day and the time spent with family and friends. I know it's stressful but it'll all be worth it later on.

Same boat. My listless sister is helping but we've spent the last few days getting it all together and I'm exhausted and annoyed. Im sore from running so many errands last night and only slept for 3 hours. Now I'm up making thank you gifts .... 😳😳😳😳 so incredibly tired.

I felt the SAME WAY. I was just....blah about all of it. I didn't sleep well the night before. I was exhausted and the girl who threw my shower left A LOT for me to do. It was far more stressful than it was worth. Part of me was appreciative for the effort but then again, I had to do so much it felt like the effort wasn't really there at the same time.  I didn't want a babyshower to begin with so to end up having to do everything I did was just, overwhelming and frustrating. It was just, too much left on me.
