FET time!
I had my consultation yesterday and I was so happy when the doctor said they would fit me in for
September ( and not November) for my FET
Then he went on to explain what that entailed.
Day 1 of my September period would mean I start injecting supracur on day 21 for 3 weeks ( to stop ovulation etc)
and then Progynoca pills for 2 weeks ( to thicken the endometrium lining)
and the after the scans in between to see all is well, and some progesterone suppositories later.... finally!!! The FET!!!!
but seriously??? all that????? after some calculations I worked out the transfer would be around 6 November roughly!!! That's ages away!!!!
I only had my egg retrieval just over 2 weeks ago... and of 16 eggs retrieved 12 fertilized and 5 great and good ones were frozen.
7 were C grade and discarded
I was sad I didn't get a 5 day transfer but since I had ohss the rest was good for me. Doctors know best!!!!
But November??!?! then a 2ww on that brings us into December. Wow... this cycle started in june!!!
so 6 months for my first round of <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">Ivf</a>, and super close to my 39th birthday, I'm feeling so tired of it all.
I had no idea An FET required more injections. It's already starting to feel like a second fresh round.
I just hope and pray after all this I am not met with failure. That will be devastating. I hope and pray with everything I have that it works...
