So..

Hubby and I have been trying the past 6m for our "cherry on the cupcake of our family" (we each have 2 children from previous relationships) and this month I was really hopeful. I started to get signs and was anxiously awaiting the day I could test. Friday came, one day late. "Yes, let's do this" I thought to myself. So as I was doing some birthday party supply shopping, for my step daughter at the dollar store, I came across the cheap pregnancy tests, then thinking to myself again, "just buy the test here, save a few bucks, #winning" lol. 4 hours later and a very long 4h to hold off a pee, might I add, I'm in the bathroom, peeing on the stick.

Box says " wait 3mins, if nothing appears, wait another minute "

So I time it, 3 minutes, I come back, nothing, no line what so ever. So OK, wait another minute I guess. Come back again, nothing. And I'm thinking to myself, "wtf, of course I'd get a faulty test" I then left the bathroom and put laundry on, came back a few mins later. Test has been sitting for at least 10min. 2 lines, but the one is so faint and the box said it would be inaccurate after 10 minutes.

Well fuck, guess I gotta get another, right? AND I had to go back out to get more loot bags anyways. Fast forward to the next day. Went out to the dollar store again, grabbed 2 tests this time, just to be safe lol. Got home, took it, bfn. So I think, maybe my pee is too diluted, test with fmu. Fast forward again to this morning, I'm peeing on a stick again. I start to read the box. "It's EXPIRED" Expired 2016/01. So I got a hunch, dug out the other box, EXPIRED! same expiry date! Dug out the first one I took, EXPIRED! expiry 2016/05. Just my dam luck! Needless to say next time I buy a pregnancy test, it will be from a pharmacy and I'll be checking the expiry date haha. Up side? I'm still late, 4 days, cervix is still really high and I can't feel it (usually around af it will be low, hard and open) and I've learned there's some things in life you can't cheap out on! please wish me luck tomorrow, and I hope you got a kick out of my misfortune.
