Terrified!!
So my DH and I have been off birth control for just over two years, we are both currently 24. Last February my gp said he would give us a referral for a fertility specialist, but it took me until last week to work up the courage to take it. All the tests I have had have come back normal, and DH SA only shows minor abnormalities, which the GP said should effect our chances.
Now we have the referral I'm too scared to even ring and make the appointment!! I have no idea what to expect, I am a very personal kind of person, and the idea of literally having to expose myself to what feels like the world makes so anxious.
I also can't get past this feeling that accepting the help is admitting I have failed and that it's not fair that this has happened to us.
I am hoping that someone will share their experiences with what happened at their first few appointment. I also don't know anything about the meds or treatments we may be offered, or what questions I should have ready to ask.
I am hoping that by feeling more prepared I will have the courage to make the appointment.
