Period or implantation bleeding

So I'm due to start my period tomorrow but I start bleeding lightly on Friday and then heavy Saturday, and light again Sunday and today. I also felt really sick on Saturday so I did a test but it was negative. My periods are normally always spot on to the day and Iv never spotted before. Could it be implantation bleeding even though test said negative? Or is it more likely my period came a few days early?
