Dilation?

I'm 36 weeks and will be going to my weekly doctors appointment on Wednesday. I was wondering how they check if your dilated and is it painful?

Girl you've made it this far. It isn't as bad as you would think. When ur in labor and they are checking you.. It's a breeze. I don't remeber it ever really bothering me. Just uncomfortable

Depends on the dr. My Dr with my daughter hurt so bad. My new dr tries to be a gentle as she can.

It depends on if ur dr is a guy ir girl. They use their hands so if its a girl its more uncomfy bc they hv to push harder bc their hands arent as long to reach ur cervix. It sux but thats wut they do. It only lasts a few secs so its over quick.
