pain in vagina

I've started having pain in my vagina in my last year of high school and ever since its a sharp pain up my vagina . It's so bad that I can't walk sometimes and I'll have to stop walking completely . I've gone to doctors and now going to see a gynaecologist . I hope it's nothing serious but the only thing my doctor told me that my cervix was low but that's ok. I would cry sometimes cause it so uncomfortable . It hasn't been happening lately though. It's unpredictable . I think having sex relieves the pain somehow though so I have my boyfriend for that and he hates to see me in pain
