Familial hypercholesterolemia & pregnancy
Hi all.
..so I am very depressed these days since I have familial hypercholesterolemia and I'm trying to get pregnant. I'm 23 years old.
My doctor (GP) told me not to take any cholesterol medicine until I conceive and deliver the baby.
My LDL is very high [307, when it should be between 85-130 (Unit: mg%)].
I will be keeping a track of my diet and I'll try to exercise daily, but I think that would not be enough. What shall I do?
PS: I have been requesting the GP doctor to refer me to the specialist, but she wont agree to do so since the GPs deal with the cholesterol issues in my area.
