When will I go into labor?

I am 37 weeks & 4 days. On Monday I was dilated 1 1/2 cm and 70% effaced! My doctor won't give me an estimate when she think I'll go into labor. What do you think?!

You'll either go into labor by 40 weeks or you'll be induced. Babies come when they want to, there's no way to know for sure unless you're scheduled for a c section or an induction.

It doesn't look.like you've dropped. Babies come when they're ready... no one can give you a date. I've heard of women being dilated to 6 or 7 and still not being in active labor. Have sex and walk walk walk.

How did you get a ultrasound so late in pregnancy ? Or did you pay for a 3D

It all depends on your body and the baby. I'm currently 37 weeks 3 days and I've been walking around 3-4cm dilated and 80% effaced since week 34. Today at my appointment I was still 80% effaced and 5cm. So barely any progress in 3 weeks! It's hard to be patient, believe me, but you're little bundle of joy will come when he/she is ready! 😊

You'll know when it's time. Don't rush baby out, they'll come when they're ready. You definitely haven't dropped yet so just be patient. I'm 38+5 and have dropped but no baby yet. We are all very eager Hun but the longer baby bakes for the better. Good luck x

My first pregnancy at my 38 week check doctor told me I was 2 cm and 75% effaced. That was a Monday. He said if you don't go into labor by the weekend I will be so surprised. It happened Wednesday night. Now I'm 37 weeks 3 cm and 80% on Tuesday and doctor told me to go home and pack my bags. It's been two days and I'm just waiting now.

I've been 1 cm for 3 weeks and im 37+3 .. I'm not rushing though.. with my first baby i was 1cm for a week before going into labor.. with my last baby i was 1cm when I got checked,  went for a walk after Dr, had him that same night .. all babies are different and come at their own time
