I'm 22 and now expecting my fourth child. I wanted to get my tubes tied after my second and third child but each time my doctor told me it wasn't an option because I was too young to make that decision. All of our children are still toddlers. Now that we're adding a fourth child I've decided that I absolutely do not want anymore. Birth control isn't something that I'm comfortable with any more considering this fourth pregnancy happen while I was on the Mirena IUD. We also can't afford nor want to be financially responsible for any more than four children. Is sterilization after childbirth something that's debatable or is it my right to decide? I have a new doctor then the one who delivered my other three children but this isn't a topic that's been brought up at my appointment yet. I wanted to reach out to you ladies to see what your experiences were.
